{back to our regular programme}

Well, I can't believe it's the 21st January where has the month gone. Well it's flown by, with lots of visits to Mum - she was admitted to hospital just before New Years Eve.....which meant a crazy few weeks, and I just totally lost track of all in the world. But Mum is doing much better, and life is settling back into a normal routine of school holiday days of fun movies and chilling......

Scrapping - yep have got firing with the mojo and have been scrapping....here is some show and tell.

This was a fun layout to do....these are the photo shoots from our Forever Always Santa Day....totally fun day, with loads of Christmas Spirit. I am so loving the Scenic Route Roxbury Range of Christmas Papers, they are so easy to work with. Also Featuring again is my love of Chipboard BasicGrey's Wilma - here i have just glittered it up with Kindy Glitz....simple and easy.
This one is for the RAK and a New Challenge posted by Shelly over in the FA Forum - to use a slang word in your title with a bright and colourful layout. Well I am not sure if I covered the bright and colourful, but the sun was shining brightly in the photos and the papers i chose from BasicGrey kind of reflect the brightness again. This was from March last year when the kids were having a blast, and the photos just showed them being total Galahs.....and i loved the play of the bird in my title too....love those Heidi Swapp Ghost Shapes...this one i added some Stazon ink too!!!
This was a quickie layout....covering a couple of different challenges in one go....a favourite thing of mine that just happens when i have many challenges i wish to work on, once i start the layout for one, i find another challenge criteria automatically creeping in without intentionally planning it....and this one was one of them...
I love this quote which i have edited slightly to suit my needs.
Life is not measured in minutes but SPECIAL moments
and have created it around my favourite Photo of Bianca just before her Yr 12 Formal.

Then i had a hiatus of no scrapping for a couple of weeks....but was pondering the next challenge issued by FA Design Teamer KYE setting some goals for 2008 - so this had me thinking what i wanted to set as goals....and well with the disasters and lessons learnt over the passed couple of years I decided that this next layout is my affirmation for 2008.

So I hope that 2008 is going to be different for me, both physically, mentally and emotionally. I think that i have got to a place where i just need to look after {ME} more, so I am determined to make this year different and better.
POSITIVE NEWS - helps this....Bianca is going to University, so this will be a big change for us all....I AM SO PROUD OF MY BABY.

With more BALANCE between all my hats - family, business, creativity, health and just plain out LIVING.

Which in turn has lead me to my next layout....to take back and indulge in my lost passion of reading....I feel that when i pick up a book, and crawl away from the world just for a little bit, it seems to make me a better me when i crawl back to the world of reality.

And as you can see from my list so far, it's something that i have been accomplishing very well.

RECOMMENDED READING:-
This one was OK - interesting in i did finish it quickly, although it was very Indiana Jones style - but i did find the historical sections of it interesting.

This i enjoyed - very descriptive and i am a bit of a Paulina fan, read all her books....and find them a quick read - i enjoyed the journey the girls travelled and found lots of links to real life - mine in the journey.

About half way through this one at the moment, and finding it very emotional, and moving - underlying thoughts of friendship and its meanings
This last one is on the book list for the Big Picture Scrapbooking Reading Room
More layouts....

Adorably YOU - too cute pics, where perfect for this Jack - that i found easy and fun to do. Thanks to the Aussie scrapjack team for selecting KIM ARCHER and thanks Kim for being such an inspiration.
I got to play with some of the Tim Holtz Grunge Board on this layout.....oh i love this stuff...just so tactile to start with let alone what you can actually do with it...here i have inked two layers, and then sanded one away.....love the look and the effect.

A just because layout.....Love these photos of Aurora that Bianca took back in November last year....she is such a cutee....simple and quick one of those ones that just evolves as it goes.

Sunday Afternoon, rainy and cold but nothing better to do than scrap....yep that was yesterday.....so next challenge up is the RAK and a New Challenge posted by Peg over in the FA Forum(4 PP from one Manufacturer) - Christmas Lights at our house.
Totally loved this challenge and took it too the extreme and only used Scenic Route Paper co products....thanks Peg.
Well let's see if I can mange weekly posts from now on....and keep you up to date with out life.
