catch up creating, retreat and more

well exhausting but exhilerating - the retreat is been and gone... its so scarey all the lead up and its over in a blink... from the feedback i have recieved so far - i obviously have the recipe of successful retreats - all the ladies had a ball, i am so glad i can organise something that please you all. i get so much out of making you all happy.

i will suggest you go and get a warm cup of something and then sit back because this will be a long post - if i can keep my eyes open :)

here is some creating that i did in the past few days showing our nametags - made 20 of thesegoodie boxes - i see kim said she was going to take a pic of this one - as i didn't manage one yet

ok back to thursday ...
thru showers we managed to pack up three cars and one trailer with stock and supplies for the retreat with the help of paula and deb.

arrived at Glengarry house and set up.... shop

4pm the ladies started to arrive and excitement started to build hard to believe that we had all finally made it

with fires burning and chatter building we settled in for a wonderful few days

dinner - the first meal of the weekend was the beginning of scrumptious cooking by Mum & Di

Social scrapping started - i shocked myself and seemed to get into the groove really easily. my first layout of the weekend was this cute furry friends layout - just one of those ones that fell together almost on its own. - Love this new BasicGrey Paper (ok blogger is not letting me upload these pics so am putting in these links)

Debra started the weekends challenges with her challenge to scrap yourself- i enjoyed this one and had fun working on this layout. Photography

Cathy and i were the last two to bed at almost 3am

Friday

up at 6.30 to prepare for the day

started with breakfast

followed by a bit of checkout work - the girls certainly knew how to shop

then i put on my teaching hat and we had fun with a little makentake - cute little to-do note
book - see montage pic in the newsletter

morning tea came next with those lemonade scones and home made Jam. - everyone wanted the recipes, so check out last months newsletter

more checkout chick work -

Lunch - another fabulous meal

Tia turned up with the adorable adeline - so got me a cuddle mmmm the smell of baby.

Gab got into the scraps theme with a mini workshop on scrap cards

judging of Debras challenge page was won by Paula with her before i was a mum layout (see the newsletter montage)

I got me a massage - wow that crystal point, those oils, and tias wonderful hands - just bliss

the rest kind of blurs, but we did dinner, desert, and just got into the scrapping,

had fun with my soul-sistas layout

Challenge for the night was our September Sketch Challenge designed by Natalie Love

I was almost done and ready to quit but all of a sudden got this instant creative streak and managed to whip up this layout - one of those love it instantly ones.- ornaments

cathy and i did the 3ish morning again

SATURDAY
up and on the checkout again almost all day today

morning tea - yummm those lemonade scones again.

sad news from brian - MIL not doing well - finding this hard dementia is such a sad disease.

Lunch

Kim Archer arrived - prepared class room

afternoon tea - gotta get that cheese and wine afternoon in

thankyou card - passed around for kim

photos of the wild weather - and the flooded camp circle

Kim 2nd class - the tin - went down well

music started pumping Neil Diamond Sing Along 12.50am

girls all started popping off to bed

i was left alone cropping in the silence - finished my layout - frontyard CSI & BONES identified

went to bed at 5am

SUNDAY
late up - awoken by the donging breakfast message, showered, wow hot breakfast wafting smells, big day - lots of checkout work, packing up, sad goodbyes, wet drive home, exhaustion hit, nap, dinnner, snoring on the couch, bed

I didn't realise that you stayed up until 5am ! But I love your CSI page. Had a lovely time on retreat, and am already looking forward to the next.
