Merry Christmas, and welcome to this months Bloghoppers blog post!  This month the girls are all struggling with the Christmas time of the year so it's appropriate that this theme Christmas.  Our House has been struck with the summer flu, so between that and work commitments Christmas is looking rather sad.....


But let me tell you that I have been busy on the Christmas making... for the last 5 years Christmas has meant secret Santa Swaps online with Chookyblue's Famous SSCS

I so enjoy this swap, its from a group of ladies who all love things handmade, and the rules are simple!! Give what you would be happy to receive... and I so love giving and receiving. There is something heart-warming opening a making a gift with love, that you know will be received in the same tone....

In this past 5 years I have made new friends that I chat with on-line from all over our wonderful globe. It's so nice to put up my ornaments every year as this is part of the swap to include with your gift an ornament to be opened on receiving the gift and then the gift must wait till Christmas day.

So my gift has left the land down under for a trip to a greener cooler temp this year, I can't reveal exactly where just incase my swap buddy is snooping - yes no peeking ....nor can I show you what I sent But I can give you some sneaks.

I can also let you know that my sleigh has arrived all the way from Finland, thank you so much to for my wonderful ornament, its waiting till the tree is up and i find the perfect spot - but i love your hand work Satu and the handmade gift tag on my gift is just adorable....

I also have been creating for a Christmas Market that is Tomorrow if you happen to be out and about at Bingara Estate near Wilton - pop on over and pick up a Christmas gift or two....

Well, off to more packing up market supplies and I am putting on a Carol or Two just to get me in the spirit, so that the tree making energy will happen and the tree will go up on Sunday just a day late....

Numbers Blog Hop

Last month I joined the girls with my first ever Blog Hop and the theme was TIME, I enjoyed writing the post and doing the blog hop, and have hopped along to those blogs again, they are now on my blog visit list....you might find a few you like this month to add to your list of must read blogs too...

So this month the Theme is NUMBERS, I can't wait to see what everyone else has written on this theme.

A number is a mathematical object used to count, label, and measure. In mathematics, the definition of number has been extended over the years to include such numbers as zero, negative numbers, rational numbers, irrational numbers, and complex numbers.

Numbers Numbers everywhere !!!

Are there numbers that mean something to you?  This was the question posed for our blog hop, I thought hard and decided that there was no single number that stood out. Until I remembered that I am a 3!!

A few years back I did a Psychic Awareness course and one of the modules we did was on Numerology.

Numerology is the study of numbers that helps determine and reflect a persons characteristics, talents, motivations and path in life. You simply add the sum of numbers in your birth date, till you get a single digit number, to determine you life path number. Numerology experts are able to determine key points in peoples lives, and moments in which to make major moves and decisions.

How to calculate your life path number is quite simple, all you need do is add up your birth date.

My Date of birth is 17th July 1968 

1+7= 8

 July = 7 

1+9+6+8=24 2+4 = 6

8 + 7 + 6 = 21 2+1 = 3

My life path number is 3, To give you an insight into my own number - Here is what Numerology has to say about the Number 3. The 3 has a very high level of creativity and self expression. The 3's talent for the expressive arts is so abundant that the 3 will have been drawn to becoming an artist at a very young age. With a gift of self-expression the 3 can be the life of a party. The 3's creativity is a gift and can bring the 3 comfort but not without continual focus and discipline. The 3 is optimistic and possess the resilience to overcome many setbacks. 3's are socially active, popular and inspire people with their happy-go-lucky attitude and are often too generous. Being a 3 also has its drawbacks, we are not so good with money, due to that happy-go-lucky attitude. 3's are very emotional and vulnerable and often get hurt and have a tendency to withdraw only to emerge with jokes and laughter to cover up our true feelings. Often moody when depressed. Blog Hop in Time

What is a blog hop? I hear you ask. A blog hop is a group of bloggers who create a linky list of blogs or specific posts related to a similar topic. It is also known as blog hopping, where you hop from one blog to the next following the linky trail  reading blog after blog entry, and leaving comments as you go :) hint hint we all love Comments!!! 

On a blog hop you may find new blogs to follow or old ones you hadn't visited in a while. It's how I have found a lot of the blogs that I read on a daily basis.

So this blog hop linky list is all about TIME - when the girls decided on this one, I was  like yep time it's something we all claim we don't have enough off. But seriously it made me stop and think. Time is Precious!!

With the Death of my BIL this year after 2 years fighting Cancer, it made my family realise that time is precious and although we are all still grieving, we've all tried to make an extra effort to enjoy each other's company just a little bit more.

Even if it's as simple as cup of tea together, or a leisurely breakfast. That time together has been special. And with shift workers in our house, that time together is often at the strangest of times, but usually over a meal but never a standard meal time!!!

We also realised that it's so sad that we all lead very busy lives and often we don't make enough time to get together with a lot of friends and family - the ones that we caught up with and that you often only see at either  Wedding,s Christenings or Funerals. So with that said we have started to make more plans with friends and family doing the catch up and the old fashioned dinner parties, and simply enjoying the simple things in life.

Like time in my garden and smelling my roses, yes it's spring and I love this TIME of year.

But spring also means it's that time of the year that most people do that big SPRING CLEAN, I am not sure what it is, the weather, or just sorting out before the silly season begins. As I am a WAHM, I find that the  balance of time between housework and work a challenge. But I will give you a few HOUSEWORK TIME tips that I find work for me. Back in 1999 I found out about Fly Lady and I don't live by it, but I do still get the emails, and find that sometimes the jogger/reminder is good to get me going. But what I did take from Fly Lady all those years ago is that a shiny sink is a happy sink, and for many years my kids would see that smiley face above my sink (YES I PUT A POSTIE UP) and know that there was no place for a dirty dish. We have never had and never will have a dishwasher - we have two hands times four living in this house and we all do our bit. The other one, which I know works and often smile when I do it, get up and get dressed even shoes, it puts you in a better frame of mind to tackle the day and the chores ahead - yes dress for work or dress for the chore it helps....laughing as I type this in my pjs oh well it does work!!! This Month I also found The Organised Housewife Blog, and have found that the 20 day challenge has been a great way to help utilise my time on housework.
