I have been flat out the last month with loads happening and lots of illnesses in the house too....feeling so exhausted - needing just to cocoon my self away for a bit I think and just sleep.
Here are a few shares of what I have been doing. - only sharing stitching items tonight...will do scrapping update again soon.
Sewing Finishes.....This first one is a quilted runner, from Australian Country threads magazins A Special Stitchery Edition vol 7 no 8. This flowers in flight tablerunner was designed by Natalie Ross. I fell in love with the design when I first saw it...although I was shocked with how big it actually is on completion. It measures almost 1.5m from point to point. I found it very simple to work on, and the ruffle is just so sweet. My sister loved it for her Birthday gift last Thursday.
Next up is a Natalie Bird Table Centrepiece from her book "from the heart", I have been wanting to make this one since I saw it - and now that I have completed it, I will have to make one for myself. I was a little dissapointed with the pattern and found a few of the pieces needed to be modified...but that happens with some patterns. It is the first Dresden Plate pattern that I have tackled and I love how the wedges just fit together...and the stitchery is just so sweet. I will sit perfectly on my Mum's table. Now to decide what colours I will do it in for me.
